Highlands’ assets are many: from the natural beauty of the beaches to the rich history of this seaport town, to the diversity of its people, to the creative and innovative practices of our local businesses, artisans, and residents that have made Highlands a destination for generations.

The full-day Creative Highlands convening took a creative and collaborative approach to continuing the important Hurricane Sandy recovery work started by Highlands’ Borough leaders, business owners, non-profit organizations, residents and FEMA.

Creative Highlands created such a buzz, in fact, that News 12 came out to capture what was happening for the 6pm news that night.

It seemed to me as I experienced each session that people were truly passionate about the issues. Even if there are certain challenges that can’t be solved immediately, at least they are on the radar and people are talking.
